Whilst the actual cause of this condition is unknown to date, recent studies have shown that the main energy source: glucose used by the brain is found to be lower in people that suffer from ADD than people that don’t. The condition is also considered a genetic disorder that can be carried from parent to child through inheritance.
ADD is widely referred to as a neurobiological condition, whereby there is a deficiency of a chemical known as neurotransmitters found in the brain. This is usually used to control the behaviour of a person.
